The Legendary Commodore Hotel

  • St. Paul's United Church of Christ 900 Summit Avenue Saint Paul, MN, 55105 United States (map)

In its century of service, the Commodore Hotel has seen more than its share of excitement: as a home for Zelda and Scott Fitzgerald, as the site of a prohibition-era speakeasy and a famed Art Deco bar, and in its survival and rebirth after a devastating explosion. Using research and images from the personal collection of a long-time resident, we’ll look back at the Commodore’s origins and early use, and then trace the building’s changes over the last one hundred years.
