Northern Pacific depot at upper right and Great Northern depot at bottom center. The Churchill Block is the brick (red) structure along the west side of Raymond in Block 48. The Congregational church’s first building is on the east side of Raymond in Lot 50 Block 34. (Donnelley atlas, 1892)
The Churchill Block, located at the north end of the Raymond bridge. The first floor remains.
The Congregational Church: first building/chapel. The steps faced Raymond.
Here’s the second (1899) building. The chapel is visible at the far right.
From 1886-87: The Great Northern Depot is shown in the inset at lower right. This is the one that was moved to Everett Court. You can see both the Northern Pacific and Great Northern depots on the bird’s eye view: GN is left/west of the north end of the Raymond bridge, and the NP depot is straight up/north from the line of Raymond coming off of the bridge, at the south end of Langford park. Both are labelled “STATION.”
At the right is the Great Northern depot (now on Everett Court). Camera facing west showing the old Northern Pacific bridge. The photographer was certainly at the south end of the Raymond Bridge.
The Northern Pacific Depot at its original location just south of Langford Park.
2107 Commonwealth, the old Northern Pacific depot. Moved to its present site around 1901.
The Bethesda Norwegian Lutheran Church, at 969 Raymond.
